London Bus Services over Christmas and New Year 2023-24

The table below shows the general pattern of service for TfL bus services and Tramlink; there may be some further exceptions not listed below. Please note that this information does not apply to routes operated on LSP conditions.

Night services are shown before the corresponding day service, in line with the normal conventions on this site. Some day routes may have alterations to early and late journeys to co-ordinate with night routes.

All information should be regarded as provisional at present and will be updated as further information comes to light.

Saturday 23 December Normal Friday night/Saturday morning service. Normal Saturday service.
Sunday 24 December Normal Saturday night/Sunday morning service. A Sunday service will generally operate.
Route 238 runs a special timetable.
The following exceptions seem to be errors, so may not be what will actually operate.
Route 18 operates its old temporary timetable (reduced frequency)
Routes 88, 155 operate a Saturday timetable
Route 381 operates its old temporary timetable (enhanced frequency)
Last journeys on 24 hour bus routes will generally depart around midnight on 25 December, though a few routes finish significantly earlier. Exact times, where known, are on individual route HTML timetables.

Monday 25 December No service on any TfL route. No service on any TfL route.

Tuesday 26 December No service on any TfL route. A Sunday service will operate on most routes. A few routes may have minor differences.
First buses on 24 hour routes will generally run by 06:00. For further details see individual route HTML timetables.
Route 8 has additional early trips towards Tottenham Court Road Station.
Routes 19 operate an amended Sunday timetable with a reduced early morning service.
Routes 13 23 93 414 452 operate the normal Sunday timetable, not the temporary Sunday timetable.
Routes 222 U4 operate amended Sunday timetables, mostly with only minor changes.

Wednesday 27 December A Sunday night/Monday morning service will operate.
Some routes may run a Friday night/Saturday morning service. A Saturday service will operate on most routes
Route 86 has an enhanced early morning service towards Romford.
Route 148 will have an hour's gap around 0600 (as on Good Friday).
Route SL6 operates a Monday to Friday school holiday service.
Routes 8 76 188 205 277 343 operate amended Saturday timetables, generally with reduced running time in the evening.

Thursday 28 December Normal Wednesday night/Thursday morning service.
Some routes may operate a Friday night/Saturday morning or Saturday night/Sunday morning service.
A Saturday service will operate on most routes
Route 86 has an enhanced early morning service towards Romford.
