London Bus Services over Christmas and New Year 2025-26

The table below shows the general pattern of service for TfL bus services and Tramlink; there may be some further exceptions not listed below. Please note that this information does not apply to routes operated on LSP conditions.

Night services are shown before the corresponding day service, in line with the normal conventions on this site. Some day routes may have alterations to early and late journeys to co-ordinate with night routes.

All information should be regarded as provisional at present and will be updated as further information comes to light.

Last journeys on 24 hour bus routes will generally depart around midnight on 25 December, though a few routes finish significantly earlier. At present, exact times have not been published for most routes - please disregard details given on individual route timetables until these have been updated.
Route 98 has additional late journeys (see main timetable summary box for details).
Routes 35 243 have additional early journeys.
Route 113 operates its normal (not Winter Wonderland) Saturday timetable.
Routes 19 73 93 188 220 (see main timetable summary box) 250 344 365 run special timetables, mostly with only minor changes.
Routes 2 8 29 94 102 have very minor changes.

Thursday 25 December No service on any TfL route. No service on any TfL route.

Friday 26 December No service on any TfL route. A Sunday service will operate on most routes. A few routes may have minor differences.
First buses on 24 hour routes will generally run by 06:00. For further details see individual route HTML timetables.
Routes 8 29* 38* have a later start from central London (* see main timetable summary box).
Routes 23 223 H17 operate the normal Sunday timetable (with minor differences on H17), not the temporary Sunday timetable.
Routes 28 278 282 487 operate amended Sunday timetables, mostly with only minor changes.

Saturday 27 December A Sunday night/Monday morning service will generally operate.
Some routes may operate a Friday night/Saturday morning service, including route N9. Normal Saturday service

N prefix night routes, including route N8 N9 N21 (with minor differences) N53 N55 N86 N89, may operate a normal Monday night/Tuesday morning service, as do routes 365 453 (with minor differences).
Routes 47, 69, N91 and N199 operate a special service. A Saturday service will operate on most routes.
Route SL6 operates a special timetable.
Route 8 operates an amended Saturday timetable

N prefix night routes, including route N8 N9 N53 N55 N86, may operate a normal Tuesday night/Wednesday morning service, as do routes 365 453 (with minor differences).
Routes 47, N91 and N199 operate a special service. A Saturday service will operate on most routes.
Route SL6 operates a special timetable.
From about 14:00 buses are diverted or curtailed in central London owing to road closures, with Thames bridges closed from 22:00. Some routes will have special schedules reflecting the road closures including:
